His publishing house, Le Quartanier, is based in Montreal and dedicated to find new voices “strong new literary voices” and new literature, with collections devoted to fiction, poetry, non-fiction and youth, wrote by Quebec and French writers.
The situation of the Spanish publishing sector seems rather similar to their context, with the blooming of independent publishing houses. The main difference would consist in the lack of “diffusoirs” as a different category from distributors.
Philantrope participated in the experience exchange workshop between the Quebec group of publishers and the FGSR and IPDA teams. This workshop is part of the cycle of sessions that take place in Renodo for the generation of ideas and cooperation in the field of books and reading.
