The idea of the organisers\u00a0is that digital technology continues to create change in society and the publishing industry needs to understand the acceleration of some trends which are changing the shape of business.<\/p>\n<p>As was predicted during the on-line edition\u00a0of Readamgine 2020, the pandemic implies a realignment which also could lead to innovation moving beyond start-ups in favor of more traditional business ideas of\u00a0our publishing environment in\u00a0Europe. This approach is synthesized with the concept of \u00abdigital implants\u00bb that GSR Foundation promotes for the European traditional book industry.<\/p>\n<p>The session coordinated by Enrique Parrilla (Lantia) presented three good examples of that concept.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Ruth Jones (Ingram) explained her ideas on their strategy within a global online market focused on responding to the consumer&#8217;s demand working on availability, discoverability and supply chain innovations.<\/p>\n<p>J\u00f6rg Engelstaeder (Future Book Forum &#8211; Canon) presented his vision of the advantages of the digital print solutions to implement a consumer-centric strategy.<\/p>\n<p>And Eric Bartoletti (Bookwire) described how the NFT can play an important role in the publishing industry expanding the array of customer friendly solutions, personalisation and digital adaptation.<\/p>\n<p>The whole session was a good example of how the European book industry can compete on a global scale by working\u00a0together to make change happen at an industry-wide
