Lovrinovic presented a workshop on the prospects for AI within the Book Value Chain.<\/p>\n<p>This video includes the workshop developed by Lovrinovic in the morning of June 5, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The conference began with a delimitation of the concept of AI, to separate it from some misconceptions, which derive from the hype moment and the omnipresence of AI in the media. Later, presented the results of an international study conducted by his team, in collaboration with the Frankfurt Book Fair, during the last two months, focused on the type of uses in the publishing sector and the real impact that AI has at the moment (The study shows that 25% of publishing companies use AI today).<\/p>\n<p>Also, the expert provided some examples of cases of use of AI in this sector.<\/p>\n<p>Colin Lovrinovic is an Australian\/German serial entrepreneur with a passion for new technology in media (and in general) \u2013 and having fun while making the world a more interesting place.<\/p>\n<p>He is Managing Director at Gould Finch, the next generation data-driven management consulting firm that focuses on digital evolution and transformation across various industries. They work in holistic teams made up from industry experts, consultants, scientists and young talents \u2013 backed by innovative AI solutions.<\/p>\n<p>Gould Finch has worked with a number of clients from the international publishing industry on projects including strategy, innovation and implementation of new technology.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to Gould Finch, Colin worked for companies such as Amazon, Apple, Universal and Bastei L\u00fcbbe \u2013 one of Germany\u2019s largest trade publishers. And successfully (and unsuccessfully) started companies in the digital media space.<\/p>\n<p>He holds an MBA from Mannheim Business School, as well as an M.A. in Creative Industries Management and is an active member of the German Federal Association of Artificial Intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>Fun fact: J.K. Rowling once wrote about a project Colin managed in one of her books.
